Manchester City are intensifying their £50m pursuit of Wilfried Zaha, according to reports. The newly-crowned champions have been scouting the Crystal Palace ace, who has fired Roy Hodgson’s side into the top half.Sky Sports claims that City have asked to be kept informed of any developments if the Ivory Coast winger decides to leave this summer. The 25-year-old has scored in five of his last six games and looks to finally be fulfilling his potential that made Manchester United sign him. But a happy Zaha insists that interested parties are barking up the wrong tree as he is happy at Selhurst Park. After the final day win over West Brom, Zaha said:
“I have no plans on leaving. “I’m enjoying my football, you can see how much I’m enjoying it. “This is my home and there’s no reason for me to leave.” The Ivory Coast attacker signed a five-year Palace deal last summer and boss Hodgson is not planning to lose his key man.
The Palace boss said: “Wilf knows exactly how we value him as a player and as a person because he’s an important figure for us. “He has a long-term contract and is one of our best-paid players, and the last thing on anyone’s mind here is letting him go. PAY “As far as I’m concerned, until a day comes where an offer is made that the club accepts, that speculation can wash over my head.
