The Nigerian Army says its attention has been drawn to the activities of a syndicate trying to defraud members of the public of their hard earned money.It said scammers have been advertising alleged recruitment into the Nigerian Army.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Brigadier-General Texas Chukwu, in a statement on Monday, stated that recruitment into the Nigerian Army is free and that no intermediary is required.
“The Army is not embarking on any replacement of any candidate for what ever reason as claimed by the said publication,” he said.
“The general public is advised to always adhered strictly to the Nigerian Army criteria for recruitment to avoid being dubbed by unscrupulous elements in the society.”
Meanwhile, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), on Sunday said it will recruit additional 4,650 officers and procure new logistics vehicles to improve road safety management in the country.
